Hi, friends!
It’s hard to believe January and February are already behind us, and I’m long overdue connecting with you. I booked so many new year readings this year (well into March!!) that I’d not had the bandwidth to write. But here I am, excited to advise you of the amazing potential of 2026, its strengths and its weaknesses.
Before I give you specific dates to watch for, let’s get a grasp on what our world looks like and why.
As the last few years rolled by, our social fabric has unraveled and the collective mood grown cynical about ever bouncing back from the bottom we hit. Not much of what happened surprised those who follow astrology and the clear historical patterns it illuminates.
The alignment of Saturn and Neptune, which repeats every 36 years, always entails a multi-year period of disintegration and the collapse of old social structures. February 20, just days ago, we officially ended the old Saturn-Neptune cycle and began a new one. We’d been working our way towards that threshold for a very long time.
Mid-2024, I spent weeks researching world events during prior Saturn-Neptune alignments (most recently 1917, 1952-52, 1989) and trust me, things look disturbingly familiar each time it happens. The calendar and video I distributed last January gave you that research. You anticipated the political fallout, changes in government, immigration laws, trade systems, rearrangement of territorial boundaries, international alliances and the downfall of public figures we’ve seen.
Nonetheless, the fact that current events fit the pattern doesn’t mean they’re okay or easy to digest. Listening to older astrologers discuss what life felt like around the last alignment (1989) drove home this point. I was too young in the late 80’s to appreciate the pervasive fear of nuclear war and communism. I didn’t remember the US’ unprovoked invasion of Panama, the unprecedented weather events, immigration crisis, the Tiananmen Square massacre, the stalemate/mass casualties/regime change in Iran, the fall of religious leaders Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggert for their fraud and sex crimes, and other things happening at that time. And though the cycle repeats with great predictability, there’s a feeling of unprecedented gravity each time it happens as if THIS is THE MOMENT we face collective ruin or salvation.
So now what?
The first message I give you is to temper your expectations for progress, as we are only now beginning a long process of reformation. And it won’t be neat and tidy. Not to mention, Uranus in Gemini (2025-2033) has historically signaled widespread military conflict. I expect it’ll take years for our social structures to solidify again. Many nations are under pressure right now to figure out – all over again – how they’ll function internally and who their alliances are. That is no small task and takes time.
Similarly, in our personal lives, these last few years disintegrated old assumptions about who we are, how we work, our concept of home, country, who we spend time with, our beliefs and our values. As of February 20, the disintegration phase is complete. You are finally positioned to invite in the new. Let’s talk about what this year might look like in your own little universe…
If your physical vigor, motivation, and direction were harder to find the last few years, you’re not alone. Many of my clients reported a vague desire for change, but many described (1) a lack energy or self-discipline for follow-through, or (2) a lack of clarity in terms of “what’s next.” Those are very typical Saturn-Neptune experiences, which spilled into 2026 like a bad hangover.
But as we move through March and April, something stirs, and the collective vibe transforms. By year end, very few elements of your life will look the same as they did January 1. Some key dates to note –
Flag these dates on your calendar and consciously feel into the transition. What might you notice?
We’re undertaking a palpable shift from earth and water energy (practical, dense, inward, and security-oriented) to air and fire energy (inspired, enthusiastic, outward, and adventure-seeking). We got a short taste of these new vibes in 2025 before planetary retrogrades peddled us backwards. But by spring of this year, we’re fully settled in a more outgoing, enthusiastic and quick tempo of life. Expect to be propelled out into world in dramatic new ways.
Spend some time pondering anywhere you’ve felt stuck or disempowered. This is your year to break out of that. It’s a good time to undertake new routines, entrepreneurship, leadership roles, and use your voice in community and relationships more than ever before.
This Saturn-Neptune alignment was special, as the two planets, moving at wildly different speeds, traveled hand-in-hand from Pisces (the end of the Zodiac) to Aries (the beginning of the Zodiac). The symbolism couldn’t be more profound.
Let’s first acknowledge that this duo in Pisces (since 2023) coincided with feelings of loss, pain, grief, difficult memories, and at times, a sense of victimization. It’s as if life was happening to us, and we tended to stay in defense mode. The planets’ move into Aries marks a new day – a rebirth of personal heroism. Every one of us is called to reclaim our agency, passion and begin a new chapter of our hero’s journey.
The abundance of Aries energy this spring reignites our spirit. It summons the warrior, the leader, the risk-taker in us all. You may notice a strong sense of URGENCY arising as you re-envision your life and contemplate necessary changes. Two cautionary notes on this –
(1) Saturn is debilitated in Aries due to a pace clash. Aries wants to take action and see results spontaneously. It urges us to pull the trigger as soon as inspiration hits. Saturn on the other hand requires forethought, self-restraint, caution and long-term planning. Add these archetypes together and what do you get? An increased propensity to make big decisions too quickly. So pace yourself like you’re running a marathon. Making good time overall means controlling your speed from the very beginning. Over the next few years, wait a few beats before communicating, responding, committing, or leaping forward. Saturn REWARDS us for it in the end.
(2) We must also avoid quick resort to aggression or divisiveness. Neptune in Aries signals a propensity for fight or flight. We may idealize fighting or leaving as the best answer to every problem. Avoid “attacking” any obstacle and person you perceive to be blocking you. Instead ask: Is there an alternative way forward (around the obstacle versus bulldozing through it)? Adopt a positive attitude towards delays, as they are often great blessings – the universe’s way of syncing us back with divine timing.
In my view, Mercury in Pisces (February 6 – April 14) is a transitional phase between all the old energy and the new. Mercury retrogrades for part of this larger timeframe (moving backwards February 26 – March 20). Fortunately, it aspects Venus once and Jupiter three times on its journey. What does that mean?
This retrograde brings healing potential, powerful tide changes and pivots in how we feel about things. Our intuition, compassion, and ability to put feelings into words is remarkable. Conversions about our emotions, how we see things and experience them are supported for MOST of the retrograde.
Mercury faces a few difficulties in this period as well. Factual and rational thinking are not just challenged – the objective mind is OUT THE WINDOW. We must stay aware that our feelings and subjective perspective strongly color what seem to be facts the entire time Mercury is in Pisces (Feb 6 – April 14). Emotions fly highest around the Full Moon Eclipse (March 3) and the Mercury-Mars conjunction (March 13-16). Conflict, upset and aggravation are more likely these days.
My advice – proceed in everything knowing your perception is skewed right now. Avoid decisions, calculations, and commitments that should come down to the numbers or cold hard facts. Focus on emotional matters, healing work, and finding mutual sympathy / understanding in interpersonal situations. Design work, creative projects, and writing are also suitable for Mercury in Pisces.
Rest assured if you’re still feeling the 2025 hangover come March, things change quickly in April. We have at least FIVE planets in Aries for much of the month. Holy wow.
Your inner fire will burn brighter once Mars joins other planets in Aries April 9. Uranus entering Gemini April 25 adds an urge for socialization, travel, experimentation, and new ideas. That means spring is SPRINGING this year – springing us right into the future and all things new. That’s exciting but…
Your new era of life includes both welcome and not-so-welcome components. I’m here reminded of Mark Manson’s book, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a #@%!. Manson theorizes that (for those born in free societies) life is all about choosing our problems. It’s a funny way to frame things, but true.
Manson’s point, which I believe relevant to Saturn in Aries, is:
So while we’re blessed with new opportunities this year, we also get new challenges that come with them. Pay particular attention from April 11-21, and don’t be surprised if you’re up against some new difficulty or reality check situation. And it’s okay if you are. Lean right in and say “YES” despite barriers, conflicts and slowdowns.
Yesterday morning, I read a scene from Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll – the part where Alice and the Queen discuss the subject of time and believing in the impossible. There’s a powerful moment where Alice says, “There’s no use in trying. One can’t believe impossible things,” to which the Queen replied:
I dare say you haven’t had much practice.
When I was your age, I did it for half an hour a day.
Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.
Saturn in Aries is a demanding teacher these next few years. We must set our comfort aside and maintain belief in our dreams, particularly when things seem most impossible. It takes practice.
You can embrace whatever new challenges arise in 2026, particularly those related to how time affects the achievement of your goals. Let us find peace in the tempo our circumstances allow. Saturn helps us learn that where progress is slow but dedication great, we achieve our utmost satisfaction in the long run.
xo,
Jules
