Hello, beautiful soul.
 
Thanks for joining me for another monthly forecast. As I reflect on January, I recall stating something like “do not sleep on the power available to you in January.” The hidden implication in that statement is the notion that when planets harmonize well, life can get a bit sleepy. That’s exactly how January felt for me. But boy-oh-boy was it powerful!!!
 
January worked miracles in the most unexpected ways. A lifting injury from several months back flared up landing me in bed for a few very long days. That time illuminated how difficult it can be for me to relax and how emotionally affected I was by a false but deeply programmed belief: If I’m not pushing (efforting), I’m not growing, not expanding my business, becoming prosperous or being worthwhile. For me, attracting more meant doing more. Period.
 
So while last month didn’t help me produce the tangible work product I had planned, it gifted me something much more valuable. And I truly feel that limiting belief has been shed from my being.
 
What did January gift you?

I would be remiss to not touch on the paradigm shift we’ve entered. Pluto’s journey through Aquarius is underway and will continue over the next 19 years. A wealth of astrological content has been generated, predicting where we’re headed globally, technologically, scientifically, medically, and cosmologically. And while I’m hard-pressed to write a few paragraphs to help you digest the next two decades in one newsletter, I’d at least like to refocus our attention on something more important.

Our concern today is not what will happen tomorrow, but instead, developing a healthy and informed attitude about it. We need to firm up our groundedness and adopt beliefs that can carry us through this new territory for humanity.

The Aquarian way is inventive and futuristic. In order that it functions the way it is meant to – some level of separation, objectivity, and cold hard experimentation must happen over these next 19 years. Yes, not everything that can be done should be done. Not every technology that can be developed should be adopted. But the Aquarian method is to discover, to try, then decide. As a human race, we’re entering an period of profound development where this process will happen again and again. We’ll learn what we can, consider whether we should.

We can develop hovercrafts and do air travel to the grocery store. But should we? We can reprogram living cells. But should we? What are the implications of all this?? These are moral and ideological questions we will grapple with. And that’s okay.

Dig deep with me right now and connect with your spiritual center. In there, you KNOW there’s a purity of human instinct and spirit that unites us all. And together, we can trust ourselves to live in these experimental times, facing the richness and the shadow of all that’s possible. Over the long term, we will practice discernment in deciding how we want to live – collectively and individually. We will create new spaces and communities that allow us all to choose our desired ways of life! The goal RIGHT NOW is to generate trust with the divine process through which we’ll arrive to 2044.

Acknowledging Our Individual Needs and Desires

With a wealth of planetary conjunctions on the horizon, watch for inner pieces of self to align this month. As Mercury, Mars and Venus take turns convening with Pluto, YOUR NEEDS ARE ABOUT TO FEEL CLEAR AND NON-NEGOTIABLE. In fact, Venus and Mars – the planets of desire – inch closer together by the day.

Particularly as we reach the second week of February, the times are deeply desirous and deterministic through month’s end. Expect total revelations about what you want and how you plan to get it. While this means something different for each of us, there’s a strong Aquarian undertow for us all. A few principles – a few values – I expect to be front and center are personal freedom and sovereignty.

Even in partnership and community settings, we must remember to take agency for crafting a suitable, spacious container in which our individuality can grow. If you’ve ever observed a mature tomato plant, you also saw a cage-like structure surrounding it. The gardener knows that cage doesn’t limit the plant. Quite the opposite, the cage is critical for giving the plant a space and framework to climb and flourish. Like the tomato plant, it’s time to reestablish boundaries, carve out some room to fill with yourself (and only yourself), so that you may blossom and flourish to the fullest potential.

February is also an ideal time for: 

1. Testing the magical (and often overlooked) connection between pleasure and productivity.
2. Experiencing a much-needed “reset” in your work, goals, and relationships.
3. Embarking on new projects and partnerships that honor your individuality and integrate your unique skills.
4. Discovering the benefits of creativity.

On that last point, don’t think narrowly about what “creative” means. If you feel stuck in a monotonous grind, weave variability in your schedule. Choose a new location to work from every Wednesday, work a half-day one Friday a month, schedule 2 hours per week for your favorite hobby. Claiming such small creative changes for yourself fosters a sense of freedom and possibility for joyful, expansive living.

Express Desires with Compassion & Honesty

With so much Pluto, Mars and Venus action lying ahead, the metaphorical “burner” is on high heat most of the month. This is awesome; it also has some pitfalls. But one thing is for sure…

FEBRUARY IS BRINGING SEXY BACK.

It ups our mojo and magnetism. This is a terrific month for interpersonal connection, deep conversation, new levels of intimacy, honesty and bonding with others in our lives. It could be romantic but not always. You might also find yourself vibing with certain business associates, clients, friends, siblings or total strangers.

All in all, there’s tremendous potential for doing deeper work on ourselves in terms of relating. You could form new connections or find renewal in an existing relationship. Just remember to pay heed to a key word in the preceding paragraph: HONESTY.

It’s never been more important that we be willing to bear ourselves, get on the same page as others, and accept the consequences. You are very unlikely to avoid hard truths in February, should any exist. Pluto has a way of upping the intensity so that anything not being said flies from under the rug. Even so, REVEALING BRINGS POTENTIAL FOR HEALING.

I do encourage you interact with others with a grain of salt and a pound of compassion. The burner’s on high heat, folks. Feelings will tend toward extremes. That’s just the way it is when the planets are helping us tune into our desires.

Thus, you may perceive things in absolutes this month – all or nothing, right or wrong, wonderful or horrible. And that’s okay, so long as that EMOTION doesn’t become a REACTION. Instead, allow the feelings to do their job – to inform you of something important that needs to be addressed when the intensity wears off. It’s imperative to mindfully and fairly communicate our desires to others right now. While it’s always okay to request a change from another, we must then give space, time and trust the adjustment will come.

I say all this because Pluto-Mars-Venus energy can turn ruthless and demanding. It’s never helpful to project such forceful energy on another. Things will feel more fair if you (taking full agency for your own needs) express how YOU plan to change and take certain steps to support whatever change you’re needing. Stay especially conscious on RED-HOT DAYS FEBRUARY 11-18 and MEDIUM-SPICY days February 18-26.
