Hi, friends!
Yesterday (Saturday, April 30th) was the first eclipse of our year. The changes seeded by it may not be obvious yet, as we’re only in the beginning stages of the Taurus-Scorpio eclipses affecting us through late next year. These eclipses signify changing dynamics in at least 2 areas of your life, particularly for Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius people. Since our next eclipse is May 16th, a sign-by-sign prediction showing you WHERE TO EXPECT CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE will be in my mid-month update.
As for the next two weeks, we have other stuff going down. Mercury retrogrades at the same time Jupiter moves into Aries, signaling an important pivot points for your journey. You may not see how your future is starting to take shape, but I’m telling you – things are about to start MOVING bigtime. See the calendar of events below.
May 2 – Venus enters Aries / May 10 – Jupiter enters Aries
Early this month, Venus and Jupiter both move from the sign of Pisces into Aries. I’ve grouped these events together as they indicate something powerful about the speed of life, particularly once Jupiter enters Aries on the 10th. Without doubt, you can expect to find yourself moving about and taking decisive action at a faster speed.
Many of you’ve reported an irritating amount of busy-ness and tedious tasks to do lately without much relief. I think May promises a bit more freedom for you. For others who’ve had confusion about where your life is headed next, May brings hope for you too.
If you know any Aries people, you’re familiar with their sudden bursts of inspiration, enthusiasm and determination (the “act first, think later” approach). The Aries impulse is naïve but brave, and compels us to jump head first into something on pure instinct. I’m not saying the confusion about where life goes from here is over, but WE’LL FEEL PULLED TO TAKE STEPS FORWARD this month nonetheless.
As a side note, remember we’re amidst an extremely intense lineup of astrological shifts occurring between 2020 and 2026. This affects us at every level – globally and individually. Since each shift from 2020-2026 represents the beginning of a new story, it can be hard to see where all the story lines are heading. We’re in a blind spot on the timeline of life, and a sense of uncertainty continues to hover. Can you even envision what the world will be like next year? Surely not…but do you appreciate how rare that is? It was once so easy to picture our lives 1, 5, even 10 years into the future.
If you can’t see past next month right now, it’s okay, you’re not supposed to. None of us really know. It’s becoming more and more imperative to find peace with the unknown and GROW OUR FAITH in the divine plan. Astrology has helped me so much with that. I remember giggling a bit when we first started quarantines, because something of that profundity had been written! If astrologers were talking about 2020 long before it came, doesn’t that mean the upheaval was supposed to happen? Knowing in advance that 2020 would bring some sort of global chaos, I was challenged ahead of time to discover a deep sense of trust that replaced the fear, anxiety and stress. about what 2020 would bring. Moving forward, you can do that too!!! And I’m here to help you any way I can.
May 5 – Sun conjoins Uranus
This is a short transit affecting a small window of time, but I feel it important given the overall picture right now. In astrology (as in life), the Sun shines the light that illuminates our direction, our way forward. Uranus brings surprises. Watch for events, ideas, realizations or eureka moments that awaken your to something new. Important events, conversations and ideas can give you sudden insight that informs your next move.
May 10 – Mercury stations retrograde in Gemini
Mercury Retrograde signifies a change of speed and flow related to communication, data, travel, and any sort of messaging network (the mind, the body’s nervous system, and electronics to name a few). This email is your cue to back up the files, photos, phone and laptop that might set you back if a glitch occurs.
Retrogrades can also send us backtracking to re-do, re-think, re-vise and re-strategize something from the past. If you’ve completed any important projects lately, you might be going back for a second look this month. With Jupiter entering Aries the same day Mercury goes retrograde, it’d be REALLY EASY TO OVERLOOK IMPORTANT DETAILS OR SPEAK WITHOUT THINKING this month. Master that Aries impulse by writing texts, emails and announcements when you feel inspired, then wait to send after you’ve given things a second look the following day.
May 15 – Sun square Saturn & Venus conjunct Chiron
Sun square Saturn is a time period calling for self-discipline, personal integrity, focus on work and patience. Sun square Saturn can seem to create conflict between our ego desires and what’s being demanded of us by the rules, commitments we’ve made, and authority figures in our lives (bosses, parents, elders, legal processes, etc.). Plan to keep your nose to the grindstone for a few days while any frustration passes. Because it will!
And if it’s the case that you encounter conflict with another person that feels hurtful, personal or unfair mid-May, the situation could be hard to digest. Here’s why:
Venus conjoins Chiron May 15th, showing a propensity to feel touchy and sensitive around this time. New situations will have a tendency to bring back old feelings we haven’t let go of. Stay aware of this mid month. It’s possible your reaction to what’s going on now reflects unresolved pain or disempowerment from something painful in your past. If you feel unappreciated, hurt, or undervalued in some way, it’s okay to express how you feel. Just be mindful that what you feel today may be more about old stuff.
We can’t expect that others “behaving well” today will fix our own old wounds. We must do our own self-worth and healing work, then focus on approaching hurtful situations differently when history repeats itself.
So before you venture into May, stay mindful we’re in “the time between eclipses” right now. There’s a 2 week interval between every solar and lunar eclipse and if things seem odd, that’s why. (It’s a bit Twilight Zone-ish for me.) Let’s also use this time to SAY “YES” TO:
TTYS!
Jules
