Hi, friends!

This may be the most straightforward message you ever get from me. We have a critical few weeks ahead, and meeting the nature of the times head-on is what the planets require.

Not coincidentally, I have a number of pressing legal projects and am dangerously (LOL) sneaking a few hours away to get this message to you. I could not in good conscious let this newsletter slide since this is, in my estimate, the most intense energy we will see until late July rolls around. 

The calendar of important events is shown on the image below. Please be mindful that specific dates may be misleading, because the date only tells you when the energies PEAK. Planetary dynamics do not turn on and off like a light switch; they build and fade. So you will likely notice relevant feelings / events in the days surrounding each date given.

First of all, we have some very beautiful / pleasant configurations happening in the sign of Pisces right now. This is the “feel good” and hopeful energy I spoke about as 2022 began. We are being offered restored faith in life following the trauma and crises that pervaded the last few years. Each of us has turned a page, experienced a reset in our personal lives, and can see a faint light at the end of the tunnel. Most of us know ourselves better, understand our values better, and have some vision about where we want to go.

But that pleasant Pisces energy is like a symphony playing in one room of the house while a tornado brews in another. Venus and Mars are still traveling together in the sky and will soon form harsh squares with (radical, unpredictable, and untamable) Uranus. Then days later, each planet forms a conjunction with (sober, rule-oriented, and consequence-dealing) Saturn. We have big dreams and plans in one hand and serious matters to take care of in the other. UFFFF!

The paradoxical energies are so clear on the world stage. Masks are coming off in public places, and we finally see our waiter’s smile again. There’s a sense of relief and hope as sunny weather and spring blooms draw near. Nevertheless, a serious political / humanitarian conflict ignited by Russia has surfaced without any resolution in sight. We have a Ukraine native in our small astrology community, bringing this matter home. Our love goes out to you, your family and homeland. I anticipate seeing some hard and fast twists and turns where that conflict is concerned soon. Keep reading and you’ll see why.

March 19 – Venus squares Uranus

Venus square Uranus on March 19th may unexpectedly shake things up where finances, agreements, and relationships are concerned. A sudden event or change in direction could be innocuous or even good on a personal level, but regardless, the shift may come from left field. 

March 22 – Mars squares Uranus

Mars square Uranus on March 22nd is more troublesome. It’s a particularly volatile energy, capable of manifesting in the form of unforeseen aggression in the world and/or in our personal lives. Mars can be a warring, hasty, and egocentric planet. Squaring Uranus, Mars looks like the wild west. The most common mistake one can make during a Mars-Uranus transit is making uncalculated moves lacking forethought and long-term strategy. DON’T DO THAT!

Whatever is happening and wherever you’ll be during this time frame, stay vigilant. There’s an invisible, flammable energy characterizing things. Don’t be surprised to see bizarre behavior from others and shocking developments. Be cautious with your own anger, aggressiveness, and tension. Mars-Uranus is wound-up, provocative, accident and outburst prone. Do not attack without a sound plan, and do not counterattack should someone throw a hissy your way.

Like a duck rises above water and flaps its wings, chose some safe release for any tension you encounter. Engage in safe, familiar exercises and give that energy a healthy outlet.

March 28 – Venus conjoins Saturn

In the sky, pleasure-oriented Venus is sandwiched between the two malefic planets (Mars & Saturn) right now. I wish I had time to create an amazing graphic of her (the beautiful maiden) walking the plank towards Saturn with Mars’ (the pirate’s) sword at her back. I’m such a nerd.  

Venus represents beauty, pleasure, leisure, love, harmony, partnership, and money. Basically, all the things we desire and enjoy. All that seems to go cold when Saturn enters the picture. Saturn is serious and all about responsibility, moderation, and limitation. With all the Pisces energy we talked about earlier, our minds may be filled with big dreams and things we want to be doing while life is demanding something else.

With the current planetary alignments, we need to be accountable right now. It’s not a good time for self-indulgence. If you face pressing demands that feel like they’re side-tracking you from what you REALLY want to spend time on right now, it’s okay and it’s temporary. Be responsible, do what’s necessary to fulfill your duties right now. That sense of freedom and ease will come back.

Also, remember how I told you earlier not to attack or counterattack during the Mars-Uranus transit? That’s because Saturn enters the picture soon thereafter, and the rubber WILL meet the road. If an incident happens this month that deserves your attention, observe the powerful difference between REACTING and RESPONDING. Let it go in the moment so you can prepare a true strategy for winning. KNOW that (1) you’ll have the perfect opportunity to make use of that plan just a few days latter, or (2) you’ll see the problem miraculously take care of itself. Kinda like karma. Actually, it IS karma.

Saturn represents karma in astrology and as the righteous disciplinarian of our sky, really does make things right – dishing rewards and consequences as we so deserve. Saturn is watching and will deal consequences to anyone who takes ill-determined action right now. Don’t be that guy. 😛

These next few weeks are truly a game of chess. So we will each SAY “YES” TO:

1. Staying cool, calm and collected through any unexpected events or outbursts of aggression from others. Get to the gym and prepare your response, plot your way forward carefully.  
2. Keeping our dreams and goals at the forefront of our minds without forcing the issue. Be responsible, take care of anything pressing, and know things will progress when the time is right.
