Hi, friends!

I hope you stayed well this past month. The astrology hit home for me in many ways, but understanding the meaning of what’s happening seems to help me ride the wave to shore. 

Now I’m eyeballs deep in plans to grow this great community, a brand overhaul, new products, etc. My free astrology updates will still come twice a month, but one improvement I aim to make is consistently providing you clear suggestions regarding the activities most supported at the time. I want you to feel empowered, for astrology to give you a real advantage in life. This comes through knowing what the astrology says “yes” to in a given moment, so that you may SAY “YES” TO SOME BENEFICIAL ASPECT OF EVERY SINGLE MOMENT!

So without further ado, let’s look at the calendar for the beginning of February.

The month starts on a serious note. A New Moon conjunct Saturn imparts a somber tone, beginning a month where you’ll think seriously about the reality of your situation. While the general flavor of a New Moon is that of a fresh start, propelling us forward with a renewed sense of hope, Saturn here this month adds themes of limitation and responsibility to the equation.

Do you feel held back by something right now? If so, Saturn is showing you a limitation (based in belief or reality) that needs to be assessed. Keep in mind:

• Saturn rules time, and you’ll feel more sensitive than usual about what you do and don’t want to waste time on. That’s a good thing! The value of time is reflected in the verb we use for it – we spend time, like we spend money. But time is non-refundable, irreplaceable. Saturn reminds us to cut out what doesn’t serve our higher good anymore.
• On the other hand, the sense of heaviness Saturn brings may lead to outright pessimism. Your situation may feel burdensome, but given Saturn’s tendency towards negative thinking, don’t be quick to judge something “just not worth it” anymore. Instead, I advise clients to take a slow and objective approach to addressing the obstacles they confront during Saturn transits.

Take note of what Saturn shows you, and be patient in the decision-making process that follows. You’ll have more clarity as the month goes on.

Another possibility this New Moon is starting something that requires great responsibility and commitment. Anything undertaken at this time will move slowly, and that’s perfectly fine for any project or relationship you’re truly dedicated to spending the time and discipline to build. Assuming persistent effort is given, whatever you begin now has tremendous fortitude and will only get better with time. 

I say this because other events in the sky these next two weeks (Moon conjunct Jupiter, Mars sextile Jupiter & Mars trine Uranus), offer added promise for new undertakings. Please contact me for guidance regarding the inception of anything HUGE, but generally note February 2nd, 4th, and 8th as auspicious dates to begin something new. 

In other news, we have a motherload of strange astrology phenomena coming. Mercury conjoined Pluto this past weekend, and the planets remain within 2 degrees of each other through Valentine’s Day. And speaking of Valentines, lovers Venus and Mars – who ignite each other’s passion and get on each other’s nerves – are traveling close together this entire month and into March. WOWSERS! I’m telling you, folks, Mercury-Pluto and Venus-Mars conjunctions last a few days at best. This is highly unusual!

Mercury relates to thoughts, information and communication; Pluto relates to what lies below the surface. In the world at large, I expect the revelation of secrets in the media and exposures regarding those in power (figures with official power and those who pulling strings we don’t see).

On a personal level, you may notice thoughts or conversations that hit deep, sensitive places. Pluto’s aim is to intensify dynamics outside our awareness to the point we can’t ignore them any longer. Suppressed feelings, subconscious attitudes, issues regarding sexuality, manipulation and control are all common themes with Pluto. The point is: anything working subtly – but powerfully – against you could bubble up. And that’s a good thing! Because until we see it, we are powerless to change it.

If you catch yourself in “fight or flight” response, or so utterly provoked that the feelings threaten to overwhelm and consume you, Pluto’s at work. Do your best not to act or speak out of alignment. Pluto ensures a good outcome after some time has passed, once we thankfully process what Pluto revealed to us. 

MAJOR TRUTH: This month you are GIFTED with powerful understandings and revelations that enable you to move, with greater clarity, towards your vision for the future. 

As for that Venus-Mars conjunction on its way, I have so much to say that I’ll be offering a Zoom meetup to discuss. Keep an eye on your email for registration information. Without a doubt, February will continue the relationship-oriented themes we saw last month, and tremendous opportunity to learn and grow is in store for you!!!

So IN FEBRUARY WE SAY YES TO –

1. Mindfully confronting the “thing” we perceive as an obstacle or limitation in our lives and taking responsibility for change. We are not victims. In any situation, we have power to either remove the “thing” from our life or adjust what’s in our control (i.e., a new plan, new approach, new belief, etc.).
2. Beginning new projects, new relationships suitable for slow growth. Whatever we start this month requires commitment and significant time to build but promises long-term potential. 
3. Taking time to process any new information, awarenesses, or events that feel overpowering and KNOWING something beautiful will grow from your awakening.

Finally, I received some feedback last month and see that those who refer back to my newsletter as the month goes on are finding additional meaning in what I said. The relevance becomes clearer as events unfold. Consider keeping this email and reflecting on it later. I love receiving your notes and hope they continue.
