Hi, friends!
We’re finally on the precipice of new calendar year! The air is still a bit heavy with, among other things, Venus retrograde. But Jupiter has finally moved into Pisces, and I’m super excited to tell you how the great benefactor of our solar system – Jupiter – may bring new opportunities, luck and fortune into your life in 2022.
Jupiter’s 6 months in Pisces aren’t sequential, so keep note of the dates it will be active at the beginning and ending of the coming year as noted below.
Ancient astrologers regarded Pisces as Jupiter’s home sign. Planets feel strong and empowered when traveling through their home signs. Since the essence of Jupiter is buoyant, hopeful, and rewarding, we have a solid dose of high vibes lending us a hand after these challenging years.
Figuring out how Jupiter’s time in Pisces could feel first requires some context. 2022 continues some of the major global themes that arose in 2020 & 2021. We have lingering tension between Saturn and Uranus throughout 2022, reflecting the residue of all political, social, economic and moral distress that’s arisen. What is done cannot be undone. The United States as a nation is amidst deep challenges to its own natal chart as well. This year, the USA will be forced to takea hard look at its original mission in forming a nation.I anticipate hidden truths about the way our government, corporations, media and social structure really functions will continue surfacing. Long story short – the process that began in 2020 and 2021 is far from over.
HOWEVER, Jupiter will do its best to “lighten the mood” for half of 2022. Jupiter in Pisces may help us see the bigger picture, find our silver lining, and make use of serendipitous opportunities born from all that’s happened. I see our faith and inspiration rebounding as we get to March and April, and we will each be visionaries of the lives of abundance and expanded life purpose we’ll create moving forward.
Since Neptune is also in Pisces, we have extraordinary creative power at hand. The Jupiter-Neptune planetary combo increases our imagination, generosity, and compassionate nature over the coming months. Creativity is at a MAX, so I expect powerful releases in the arts, film, fashion and music. Cosmetic injections, photo filters, false eyelashes and all the ways we glamorize ourselves hit their high water mark. Jupiter-Neptune in Pisces has spiritual significance too. I hope this period leads more people toward a system of faith or spirituality that fulfills them. Subjects considered “New Age” or mystical in the past may cease faux pas status and rise in popularity. It’s a big year for travel too, though I don’t see the current logistical problems ceasing, and this is why…
Jupiter tends to bite off more than it can chew. Add Neptune’s delusional quality to the mix, and practicality gets lots. We find ourselves in too deep, unable to handle the logistics necessitated by growth or change. We need to take heed of a PROPENSITY TOOVERDO things this year. Practice grounding. Be sensible and practical about the commitments, plans and changes you make. Follow your inspiration, but be sure to get feedback along the way from others. Make sure you haven’t overlooked something important.
For each of you, there is a particular area of life where Jupiter’s growth potential will be most active. I offer general themes for each Zodiac sign below. Remember to read/consider your Ascendant (or Rising) Sign and Sun Sign, as your Rising Sign is most helpful for horoscope purposes. Please consider a personal reading if you have major projects, are selecting launch dates, or making big changes this year so you know the specific details and important dates relevant to your one-of-a-kind birth chart.
ARIES: Jupiter affects your 12th House this year. The 12th House relates to all things hidden. Secrets, dreams, the unconscious self, intuition, spirituality, God, other dimensions, underground societies, hospitals, prisons, and mental illness are all part of the unseen. Focused effort in any of those fields is advantageous this year. It’s a particularly good time to begin seeing parts of yourself, your mindset, your behavior, that you weren’t conscious of before. You may benefit from great personal growth as you are able to see what was hidden before, and stop being your own worst enemy in important ways. Since Jupiter is linking you the invisible world, you may feel your intuition heightened, receive messages in dreams, or favors from a guardian angel in 2022.
TAURUS: Jupiter affects your 11th House this year. The 11th House relates to networks – networks of people and networks of information. 2022 is the perfect year to grow whatever networks of people are important to you – your client base, professional colleagues, friend groups – as Jupiter is helping you find your tribe. If your network doesn’t expand in sheer number, either a new contact or someone in your current circle brings you something of value. The association to networks here also includes anything web-based, information technology, social media, advertising and marketing. Jupiter grants you favor if you’re involved in any of those fields. Consider promoting yourself at conferences, live group forums, or online this year.
GEMINI: Jupiter affects your 10th House this year. The 10th House relates to one’s career, reputation and role in the world. 2022 could bring opportunities to expand your career or advance your status in society. If you enjoy what you do, a raise or promotion could be in the cards. If you’ve been unemployed or unhappy in your line of work, you will feel drawn to explore other options. With Jupiter in the 10th, something better’s likely to pop up, like a career path that gives you greater meaning, purpose, freedom or benefits. In any event, you are sure to be noticed this year and should garner the attention and rewards you’ve been working for. If you aren’t getting that where you are, this is the time to open yourself to new possibilities.
CANCER: Jupiter affects your 9th House this year. The theme of the 9th House is one of travel, philosophy, religion, belief systems, advanced learning and teaching. This could be THE year of adventure for you. Visiting foreign lands and overseas travel could be beneficial in more ways than pleasure alone. You might profit from travel somehow or encounter a new person or opportunity on your journey. It’s time to explore, so if you can’t do it in person, try reading or watching films about other cultures, religions, and ways of life. It might help you reformulate your own views or firm up your sense of meaning in life. Jupiter in the 9th is also good for teaching, learning and publishing. If you’re a teacher, you might see your career advance or benefit from publishing your work.
LEO: Jupiter affects your 8th House this year. The 8th House relates to a number of taboo topics, like sexual intimacy, esoteric spirituality (like tarot, astrology), death/rebirth, inheritance, joint finances, and taxes. Jupiter could bring you luck in any of these areas this year. For instance, your spouse may get a bonus at work and add it to your joint account, a new tax law helps your business, or your great aunt leaves you a gift in her will. Death/rebirth may play out in creative and profitable ways (figuratively speaking, this could look like flipping old houses, rehabbing antique furniture, or practicing alternative spirituality in a career setting). The relationship with your partner has added potential for depth and intimacy with Jupiter in the 8th.
VIRGO: Jupiter affects your 7th House this year. The 7th House signifies our committed relationships, traditionally the marriage partner or long-term significant other. It similarly relates to all close 1:1 relationships, like you and your boss, your roommate or bestie. Jupiter’s transit through the 7th can work out a number of ways. It often prompts a person to want expansion or growth in their partnership. Sometimes this means going outside the partnership to explore something new, and sometimes this means expanding the partnership you already have if the relationship has true growth potential. If you’re in a happy relationship and don’t wish to explore “elsewhere”, traveling or exploring something new together is a good use of this transit.
LIBRA: Jupiter affects your 6th House this year. The 6th House relates to the workplace and your daily responsibilities, like diet, exercise, and hygiene. It’s the perfect time to make moves if you’re seeking new employment yourself or looking to hire someone new. You may find yourself doing some work-related travel this year and/or getting a raise. Since the 6th House’s is connected to health and body, it’s important to keep in mind that Jupiter expands. This can pan out for you physically. So unless you’re trying to gain weight, I’d channel Jupiter’s energy into finding a new workout plan, meal prepping, or other health routine you feel enthusiastic about. An old routine may be hard to stick to.
SCORPIO: Jupiter affects your 5th House this year. The 5th House governs creativity, so use this year to engage in as many creative and artistic projects as possible. If you aren’t the artistic type, remember there are infinite ways to get your creative juices flowing beyond what we traditionally consider art (like cooking). Anything that brings you pleasure, like games and hobbies are also spotlighted this year, and you might consider turning your hobby into a business or side hustle. The 5th House finally relates to romance and children. This is a fun time for playing the field or romancing that partner you already have. Children may come into focus this year somehow, and your children may have some luck in their own lives.
SAGITTARIUS: Jupiter affects your 4th House this year. The 4th House encompasses the home, family, and the inner self. Regarding the inner self, you may benefit from a greater sense of hope and optimism while Jupiter’s in Pisces. You could be traveling home, spending lots of time with family, or increasing the size of your family in 2022. You may also be connected with a new opportunity introduced to you by a family member or someone from your childhood/early life. It’s a prosperous time for real estate, and you may be presented with an attractive purchase, make additions to your current home or sell at a significant profit. Since Jupiter’s better at the big picture and overlooks details, pay attention to the fine print and think about the costs of maintaining whatever you buy.
CAPRICORN: Jupiter affects your 3rd House this year. The 3rd House relates to your mental faculties, making this a great year for learning new skills. Communication is another key topic of the 3rd House. You reap great benefits from all types of communication activities like writing and speaking. If you’re asked to give a presentation or have always wanted to write a book, this is your time! Since the 3rd House governs short-distance travel, you’re a busy bee and likely to be hopping around a lot this year. Remember that Jupiter excels at the big picture but sometimes misses the details. This challenge could present itself if a busy schedule has your energy scattered in lots of directions. So whatever you do, get someone else to proof your plans and scripts.
AQUARIUS: Jupiter affects your 2nd House this year. Since this is the house of money and possessions, everything of value (including your values themselves) are highlighted this year. You’ll have a clearer picture of your values as the year goes on, and knowing what gives your life meaning and purpose may prompt changes in course. Jupiter in the 2nd can bring major financial opportunities, which I hope means the raise or increase in income you’ve been wishing for! Beneficial investments could be available in 2022. On the flip side, Jupiter is prone to overspending, so avoid any wasteful tendencies. Also read the fine print connected with any investment you make, and remember to plan for the long-term cost of maintaining whatever you purchase.
PISCES: Jupiter affects your 1st House this year. As the house related to your body, your image and identity, you can expect major personal growth this year. This is YOUR YEAR! You have magic on your side, extra energy and enthusiasm. It’s an opportune time for promoting yourself, starting your own business, career changes, updating your appearance/style, or reaping rewards from seeds you’ve sewn. Sometimes “personal growth” manifests quite literally, so spend a little time at the gym if you prefer putting on pounds of muscle verses fat (hehe). Jupiter has a tendency to “overdo” it, so be cautious of overextending yourself or make promises you can’t keep.
Well, that’s all for now folks. With Venus currently retrograde, the transition of Jupiter from Aquarius to Pisces was a bit less palpable than usual. But that will end before long and as the weeks go by, I hope Jupiter in Pisces begins to manifest in beautiful ways for you.
xo,
Jules
